By Susi Irawati
Autism is only one of the five autism types of autism spectrum disorders. The autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental brain disorder that is described by impaired communication skills and social interaction. People with autism have limited range of activities and interests. ASD is a complex development disability with many different levels of autism types.
Parents could recognize easily the autism symptoms of their child. In many autism types, the child with autism will show inability to socialize, poor communication skills, demonstrating bad behavior, and in several cases, they are not able to communicate at all.
There are some autism types:
-they are classic autism,
-Childhood Disintegrative Disorder
-Pervasive Development Disorder.
In the classic autism types, people with autism are considered the most severe of the different autism types. Classic autism types cause people to have slow language development, have difficulties talking with other people, or have a deep lack of attention with other people. People with classic autism types have a strong desire for the same routines, muteness, high levels of vision spatial skills, and most important learning difficulties in other areas.
Asperger syndrome autism types are referring to a developmental disorder described by impairment in language and communication skills. People with Asperger syndrome may show a variety of characteristics and the disorders can range from mild to severe. Children with Asperger syndrome show deficiencies in social skills and cannot manage transitions or changes. They will often stick to rituals and get distress over any changes. People with Asperger syndrome autism types have difficulties in other people reading body language, low sensitivity to pain but high sensitivity to bright lights and laud noises.
As for Rett Syndrome autism types, which are a relatively rare condition, occurring in every 10,000 to 15,000 people and nearly exclusively affects females. Little girls with Rett syndrome tend to appear the syndrome after 6 and 18 months of the development period. They degenerate into their mental and social development. They could not respond to parents anymore and tend to pull away from social contact. The Childhood Disintegrative Disorder specifies severe degenerations in communication skills, social behavior, and every developmental motor skill, while Pervasive Development Disorder explains people with all different types of autism disorders.
