The actual program is called the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP).

This program which is funded by the federal government (not the vaccines manufacturers) uses a no fault system, for resolving vaccine injury claims. As of February 2008 there are 4,900 autism cases currently pending in Federal Vaccine Court. Here is a case that really looked into the science and behind this child’s case of autism, they have found a link between the child’s autism and the vaccines that she was given. The case that was settled, was one of the three test cases for the possibility that Mercury in the vaccines, caused autism. Children’s lives are at stake!

Looking at Both Sides of the Autism-Vaccine

There has been research upon more research and many parents of children with autism feel that the research is incomplete, inconclusive or just plain wrong. When there are no distinct answers to the questions of how our child ended up with autism, as parents, we want answers.  In the past, research was presented – initially by a researcher from the United Kingdom – stating that he had performed a huge multitude of tests on Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccines and determined that they were the cause of autism. The assistant also stated that Mr. Wakefield’s methods were faulty and that the reason for his stating that vaccines contaminated children was that the methods he used were not free from contamination and he was being paid one million dollars to prove that MMR vaccines caused autism.
